nov.10th

Hi all, 5 frames done except for backing and hanging, 4 more in the painting stage....6 a.m. wake up call..nothing like crafting at the crack of dawn!!! I have to make a public "I'm sorry" to my hair dresser....I have an appointment with her on Thursday (and still do) however I could not wait and so, in a moment of pure silliness cut my hair..... myself....with my crafting scissors. I look like yental when she was dressed as a boy....!!!! I should also mention the slight mishap while cutting the side.... I cut a patch.....by mistake....a short patch......I also dyed it dark brown.....with perniment hair dye!!!!!! She will have to fix me and I will be sporting a hat for the next day and a half!!! Don't worry Erin I will take full responsibility for the state of my head!!!!

Nov 9th

At 7:30 this morning I had a wonderful chestnut tree laden with nuts and casting my apartment in shades of green....8 hours later my prized tree has been chopped down...gone...nothing but a stump and bits of wood...GONE!!!!!!!! Although I am renting, and tecnially have no claim to this tree I have been living here for almost 4 years and felt very much attached! Mondays really DO suck!!!!!! I am off to craft, and perhaps shut my curtains as my nature curtain is no longer here, otherwise it will be the Kim show for the whole ally to see! Off I go, coffee in hand and feeling a bit glum...ho hum!

Nov 7th

Today in the battle of the cold, i think the cold is trying to win, my head is pounding and I have 0 interest in food which may account for my feeling of walking in slow motion! I refuse to give in without a fight.....I may be moving slowly but moving I am!!!!!! I am including some pic's, two of which come from the Island. Queen B's is the shop in which I have been selling things!!!! I have also included a picture of 2 dogs hanging outside the departure door at the airport......I love small towns!!!! The big frame is in the final stage of completion, I need to glue the owls onto the backing and finally find material big enough to cover the back of the frame. Owl pins galore, and frames being sanded!

Nov 5th

I am back!!!!! I've been back since late Tuesday night, however the blogging bug didn't hit till 2 seconds ago, better now then never!!!! I made the bus, and except for a very sore bottom...the ride was very long, no disasters to report! I have been working on the big frame, thing about working in "big' is that it takes exactly 10 times longer to complete each step......I am in the middle of sewing on a series of circles to the already stitched on background...slow and steady wins the race (I wonder if this saying still applies if one is not actually racing?) I feel like I am fighting a cold and have dosed myself with everything and anything that might zap it dead in it's tracks...absolutly no time to fit a cold into my already crazy scedual...you hear that cold...no time!!!!! I have six frames glued and ready for sanding, the sanding will have to wait for tomorrow......no heavy power tools in my living room past nine p.m.!!!!! I have 22 owl pins done and ready to go and 13 that are finished except for there pin backs. I am going to crawl into bed, early work day tomorrow! Sweet dreams!

Nope, absolutly no recall on the code, however a very nice extreamly drunk 12 year old (I might be exagerating) let me in!!!! Not a whole lot of sleep...I think I may have been the only one to read the 'quite between 11 pm and 7 am' sign...I certainly would not have been in line to stop the quite police when they gaged and hog tied everyone and tucked them into bed....however they (the quite police) were nowhare in sight..lol!!!!!! My roomies were quite funny last night (sometime this a.m.) They had the light on, were gathering things up to get ready for bed, in the process rocking the bunk bed so badly I am surprised it didnt tip over (I was in it!) all the while shhhhhhhing one another...it made me laugh (on the inside as I was pretending to be asleep) They found NO humer when my alarm went off at 5 a.m. and the proceeding ruckus to get myself out the door (I do think I should earn points for leaving the light off!!!) It is 5;30 and I am off to find coffee before navigating my way to the bus station....are things open at 5;30? We shall see...talk with you all in Nelson!

I often find myself in hilarious situations...I am in one now!!!! I am in Vancouver, in a hostal, filled with 2o somethings...It is like a huge ass dorm room filled with parting....I feel old and slightly out of place. My dorm mates seemed quite enthused to begin a night of drinking and seemed mildly perplexed when I (who will have to be at the bus station at 6;15 a.m.) was not jumping for joy at a night of crusing for boys and cheep beer! Befor arriving at my 'dorm' I had a glorious dinner with people I did'nt know if I would ever reconnet with...it was wonderful! It is nice to know that I am still loved!!!!!! The owl felting this week was actually quite sucsessful....a bag full of owl pins!!!! I feel refreshed and ready to jump back into crafting full mode! I also had a wonderful surprise...a check for 230.00 for art that sold!!!!!!!! I didnt mean to, however I bought a pair of PURPLE boots!!!! It was a 2 for 1 deal soooooo I also acquired a pair of low heeled short boots....quite exciting, thair will have to be some practise walking befor I wear them in public!!!!! O.k. I am off to bed....I hope I can remember the code to regain enterence into my dorm...mmmmmmm cant seem to remember at the moment, I am hopefull that with the pin pad infrount of my face my memery will be jogged!!!!!!

I just stuck my hand in my bowl of buttons and touched chewed up spit out cereal.....gross gross gross!!!!!!!!! I am going home tomorrow, safe from chewed food!!! Good-by sweet wonderful Isadore......I will see you soon, good luck learning how to eat!!!!!!!
