I am here!!!

April 30th, We have arrived, tired, slightly disorganized, road exhausted, but here!!! Simon, 'the cat" is clearly a seasoned traveler, a slight vomit episode a hour and a half into the drive was the only crisis....pretty smelly!! Rox is a travel pro...fantastic!!!! My house dosnt have hot water nor internet, both of witch should be fixed this weekend. Today was my first full day...rain ALL day, a broken coffee grinder = a 45 min walk into town for really bad coffee.....wet walk but so pretty.....Here are some pictures of "my' house in the woods......here goes for an interesting summer...I am so very grateful for this opertunity and promise not to waste nor take it for granted.

one month to go!!!!

In one months time I will be on the island. I need yo go! This past month has been a complete gong show. Simon, my cat has had an infection that has lasted forever, he is peeing every place except his litter box.....super stressful. We are living with friends at the moment, moving on Tuesday for the duration of this month and staying with different friends the first couple of days in May before heading out. I need to finish packing in the morning, with an easter egg deceration date with a 6 year old in the afternoon, a good day!!! Hard to do art with a sick cat and couch serfing, however I will have the whole summer to create!!!! My dear Fraya is back in town, quite wonderful to be surrounded with a like minded creative person!

At last...pictures!!!

Hi all!!! I am at my friend's house waiting for my cat, who is at the vet......infection in his bladder, poor little guy. I have had an epic month..I find myself couch serfing with my dog and sick cat..stressful! No art, as it is hard to be creative with no home. April 1st I have found a place to stay until I go to the Island...it will be nice to land, if only for a moment. I have gotten a haircut..super cute..I feel pretty..my Birthday was at the begining of this month, 35..I am good with that..a good number, hopefully a good year! I should post some pictures, perhaps tonight, if I can find my camera, not being very organized I am not sure what bag it is in.....goodness I wish a had a home!!! 4;30, an hour to kill....Brook is playing music, ohhhhh and he put his banjo away........see you!

Rainy lazzy day

I painted this afternoon, feeling inspired, going home to do some felting...frames are being made, art break ending, arting rebegining...rainy lazy days can be productive!

Friday morning..a new start

I went dancing last night..a Thursday night so it was mainly me and 2 girlfriends shaking our tail feathers! I lived a whole other life before embarking on this one..it included dancing, which I have not done in forever (excluding new years which unfortuantly involved a redicilous amount of wine with dreadful after affecs!) My freinds were mildy shocked that not only was I out past 9pm, wearing nothing that one would find in your grandmothers closet but swinging my hips...good to keep people surprised!!!!! Before the eavning started I spent a good part of the day cleaning and organizing my room...I am feeling the art insperation seeping back into me and now with a clean space I am ready to reembark on my next art adventure! Now if only I could get rid of the slight gut rot that is in my belly...chinesse food seemed like a wonderful idea last night.....we are good to go!!!!

The day after...

My art show went down yesterday and I have had 2 people who are disapointed that they missed purchasing when they had the oppertunity....I still find this all slightly insane and compleatly wonderful! I have an art show lead for the fall..looks promising however not a done deal...we will probily have it nailed down by next week!! Amos is cutting wood..that was donated..thanks Gary!!!! tomorrow, I just have to measure the legths for him..off to do that now. Hugs and smiles, and all that jazz!!!!!
