Today

Hi all, I have hives.......I am grateful that the majority of my medical issues are not life threatening and often quite funny! Why do I have hives? Don't know really. I have had hives once before and at that time my doctor said that stress can bring them on. Do I feel stressed? Before my body broke out in red itchy red boils, I would have said no. Now I don;t know...I may be a little stressed by the hives.....

Once again I am thinking that my picture taking needs some fine tuning, however as I am fond of saying..better something then nothing!! Kay here are pictures of my growing owl family! I LOVE them..I can't help it, they make me smile and giggle and want to do little jigs in my living room! I have also included pictures of me in my bike helmet...the look on my face is one of pure determination...A picture of the bike, which looks perfectly harmless, you would be wrong..it is the devil! I have also included a picture of my bath water. This picture was taken before I bathed, that is the colour of the water......the picture also dosnt show the grains of sand that are in the bottom of the tub.... People pay for mud baths, I am lucky enough to get mine for free...this should also explain why I bring water from town to drink!!! I buy food for the furbies at the vet, who runs her shop from her farm...the 'cows' were sitting so peacefully, so I took a picture, the 'cow' that was actually a ginormous bull came lumbering up to the fence and snorted at me...he was HUGE!!!!!!!! He is also sideways, or his picture is..you know what I mean...everyone turn your computer on its side to get the proper angle...thanks..way easier then me trying to flip it!!

Swimmers ear!!!!! I am trying to remember when I went swimming...I cant!!!!! It kinda makes me giggle except for the pain...funnier once the drops have done thair magic!!!!!

Happy Sunday! I have a massive ear infection and will be visiting the doctor in the morning....I suppose now that the furbies are well it is my turn for sickness. Tried to ignore it however today was quite hellish and is only getting worse...yuck! I did take some photos of the inside of the wilderness house......off to bed...sweet dreams!

Day 2 in the wilds!

I have internet in my house...yey for computer literate people!!! I will also have hot water in 24 hours, thank goodness!!! Some people look human without showering, I look dirty!!! Presently I am eating dinner...A huge bowl of yogurt, nuts and dried fruit...not by choice. I bought chick peas to make a yummy curry, in a stroke of optisum I bought dried peas, they have been soaking ALL day....hard as rocks...I am assuming that this is a learning curve, I havent even turned on the stove and already I have hit a road block.....curry tomorrow..hopefully!!!!!!!1 I walked into town to buy food for the furbies and coffee for me...about 3 km....my ass has the potencial to be glorious by summers end!!!!! I also got on, and fell off a bike...grass stains to prove it....more practice before riding on the highway...way more!!!!! In between physical fitness I did some crafting..3 frames glued and drying and work on a custom peice that is almost finished! 6;48, a final walk with Roxy and then bed with a book...till tomorrow!!

I am here!!!

April 30th, We have arrived, tired, slightly disorganized, road exhausted, but here!!! Simon, 'the cat" is clearly a seasoned traveler, a slight vomit episode a hour and a half into the drive was the only crisis....pretty smelly!! Rox is a travel pro...fantastic!!!! My house dosnt have hot water nor internet, both of witch should be fixed this weekend. Today was my first full day...rain ALL day, a broken coffee grinder = a 45 min walk into town for really bad coffee.....wet walk but so pretty.....Here are some pictures of "my' house in the woods......here goes for an interesting summer...I am so very grateful for this opertunity and promise not to waste nor take it for granted.

one month to go!!!!

In one months time I will be on the island. I need yo go! This past month has been a complete gong show. Simon, my cat has had an infection that has lasted forever, he is peeing every place except his litter box.....super stressful. We are living with friends at the moment, moving on Tuesday for the duration of this month and staying with different friends the first couple of days in May before heading out. I need to finish packing in the morning, with an easter egg deceration date with a 6 year old in the afternoon, a good day!!! Hard to do art with a sick cat and couch serfing, however I will have the whole summer to create!!!! My dear Fraya is back in town, quite wonderful to be surrounded with a like minded creative person!
