Day 8

I need to give myself a pat on the back....what for? Blogging of course!!!!! I have blogged every day for EIGHT days!!!! I have not crafted yet. My intent was to craft, then venture out into the world to find an internet connection. Not wanting a repeat of last night, I hit up the internet cafe before they closed. O.k. on the list for tonight....sanding 5 frames, and then felting at least 2 owls!!!!!! Not related to anything to do with art, however I just found 2 pair of cords at the second hand store. I have tried cords in the past, however have always felt a bit preppy...not a good thing..the first really fall day and all of a sudden my wardrob was not compleat without them. I will wear them tomorrow (one at a time...not together!) and let you know how it goes!
Fraya, if you are out thair and reading this I paid our rent and Don misses us! I am off to get one last coffee and then submerge myself in crafting mess (sanding is a messy sort of bussness)

DAy 7

I am sitting in the dark having a huge giggle fit. I am in the ally stealing (such a harsh word) internet.....really I just have to bite the bullet and get my own!!!!! I cant download pictures AGAIN!!!!!!!! More giggles!!!! Im going home.....love you all.....more giggles!!!!!

DAY 6

Happy Monday! I am back at the internet cafe...so far the computers here have been behaving..I was downtown and decided to pop in for a quick blog! My friend just walked in...I am thinking that a smoke and a chit chat are in my future!!!! Today I worked, and that was work! I then did some personal crafting...My dear wonderful Jolean (who is a girl) is leaving Nelson, she is relocating to the coast. I am so happy for her, a journey to see other things meet new people, get to know herself.....I am sooo proud of her!!!!!! I will however miss her desperatly, she is my after work coffee buddy and close friend. Goodbye my sweet Jolean...goodluck have fun an I will see you soon!!!!! I made her a felted girl with wings...to spred her wings and fly!!!!! I am unable to download photos....soooooo you all know what that means...maybe tomorrow!!!!! Brooke is waiting...coffee and smoke.

DAY 5

I have figured out why people in our time suffer from burnout and stress....computers! I am convinced of it. Let me explain...first, the computer at my friends house has gone missing...got up today and walked out of the house (if computers could walk) I had taken some pictures to share, draged myself away from my crafting to perform my computer duty and gone.......I then walked down to the internet cafe and thair computers were either out of order or acting oddly. I am now at another friends home (after picking up her house keys at her work) and cant figure out how to download my photo's...I tell you..stress!!!!!! The crafting however is going along wonderfully!!! Five frames glued today..ready for sanding tomorrow. A picture done and hanging on the finished wall. It is of a girl hugging an owl and a wee owl standing between her legs. I also found 5 owl pins that I made and then misplaced, they are pined on a shirt witch is on a dress making stand...there is a picture that is being held hostage in my camera!!!! I have yet to work on the elephant..sometimes it is best to walk away for a bit. I am happy to report that Simon did not bring home any dead things! I am now off to knock on my friend Lee's door to see if he is able to give me a quick back rub and then off again to a barbacue down by the lake. I am not going to promise pictures tomorrow, it turns out me and computers still have some work to do before we will be able to really trust and understand one another....lol, because at this point that's all you can do!!!!

Day 4 in the life of me

I am sitting downtown at an internet /grocery/coffee shop, sipping an O.K coffee and writting about my day. I surrvived my shift at work, although long..7;30 a.m. till 3, all in all not so bad . I arrived home after a coffee and a wonderful chit chat with a friend to find a box of wool on my front step ...thank-you Aneta!!!!! Surprise gifts are lovely...and a box of yarn....fantastic!!!! Two more owl frames are finished and hanging on my ALL DONE AND READY TO SELL WALL....16 finished! The elephant is giving me a tough time ...we are at the hate part of a love hate relationship. Simon got a bigger bell for his coller....in the past week he has gifted me with 2 pigions!!!!! Although gratefull that he loves me enough to bring me gifts I would perfer not....hopefully the ally birds will be given a heads up and be able to fly away befor my sweet Simon murders them....good luck my darling birds, I am rooting for you!!! I have no pictures for you today, however tomorrow....I am hoping to catch some good light and capture some half decent shots. Tomorrow is also frame gluing day.....messy sticky..good good fun! Day three of my blogging life.....I worked at the restraunt this a.m. then spent the afternoon on my front weed patch. Sitting in the sun in my paint covered overalls and bare feet! I painted three frames...bright sunshine yellow, then decided that unless you were to wear sunglasses while in there presence..perhaps too bright....I then repainted them white..then pale blue and finally distressed them......I'm thinking that this process has room for improvment!!!! Roxy (aka buba..my dog) was then brushed..she was under the impression it was torture and .yelled her head off, while I calmly explained to her that no animal has ever died while being groomed...she didnt seem convinced! This whole process was quite wonderfully interupted several times by friends traveling through the ally...good chit chats on a sunny afternoon is never a bad thing although not very good for productivity. Once the sun goes away, as does the heat...I brought my felting things into bed and along with the furbies (Roxy and Simon , my cat) worked on the elephant. Not cute yet, as well as eyeless, however I have included a picture. I also posted (I think that may be a blogging term..lol) some owl pics. My goal for tomorrow is to back and fill the three..finally finished frames, and dare I say it....finish the elephant!!!! I should worn you, my dear reader that I am training a new server and working with someone who makes my brain feel as if it may explode......hopfully all of this does not squelsh my creativity!!!!!!
