Don't panic...I'm still here!!!!!

I'm here, I'm here, I'm here!!!! Blogging procrastination, because I have been using my computer to watch House....... internet hook-up is downstairs, comfy t.v. watching area upstairs= blogging procrastination!!!!!! I have finished another driftwood "sculpture" and have another in the works. I also have to explain and download pictures of the MUD BOG!!!!! Pictures and explanations to come....promise!!!!! Love to Fraya and Anne.........Hugs and smiles and chit chats to come!!!!

The battle continues....

I was brushing my teeth this morning, staring at my reflection, wondering why I looked, I dont know... different ......perhaps it is because my eye lids are swollen?????!!!!!! Yup, changes the whole look of ones face when your eyes are a different size. I was starting to feel bad, blaming nature, fighting with nature, at times wanting to wring natures neck. Nature is wonderful. The fact that liquid runs out of my nose and eyes is no reason to hate nature...and then she made my eyelids fat.....the battle continues.......

Cereal

It pains me a little to say this..but my sister was right. Growing up she was a lover of cereal. I couldnt stand the stuff (unless it was those puffed corn things with the sweet stuff all over them ...those were good) I grow up watching her choose cereal over other (in my opinion) better food. Turns out cereal is the best food invention EVER!!! It doesnt go bad, it requires no cooking, minimal mess clean up, it can be eaten dry or with rice milk or yogurt, or even in a pinch apple sauce (not highly reccomended) Cereal has saved me. Jodi, I am sorry I doubted your cereal love.

Hi Gang!!

Hi everyone...all 6 of you! It has been an all out family several days...and I only "lost" it once...so pat on the back to me....lol !!!!! The first family event was hospital day, a fund raiser for the hospital. I have pictures of the parade....love the parades!!!! The day was sunny.......fantastic wonderful glorious sun..is that a song? If not it should be!!! The fire people used there fire hoses to spray down the kids....funny! I don't know what would have happened if there had been a fire on island...but there wasnt.....so yey for fire hose water fights!!!! I have included a picture of Isadore making a run for it....pushing the stroller.... ......run kid run!!! Day 2 was Fathers day...pancake breakfast at the local restraunt. They werent serving pancakes that morning, and I need to apoligize to all of the people I have ever told that French toast is similar to pancakes..they arnt and I'm sorry! Day 3 was totom pole raising day in Old Masset. Old Masset (most likely I have misspelled that) is on the other end of the Island. We witnessed 3 totom poles being raised heard drumming and saw traditional dancing and singing..it was wonderful. My sister was working, thus explaining the dreadful outfit. Parks Canada should feel quite ashamed for designing such unflatering outfits.....I am thinking about starting a protest on her behalf...o.k not really...but someone should!!! Although I am typically against pictures showing kids eating (I don't think its cute seeing food all over kids faces......) I did include a picture of Isadore eating apple sauce with his hands...Grandma Mo was in the background having a nervous episode...everyone else found it highly funny!!!! And finally pictures of my driftwood art piece.....gotta say..kinda love it!!!!

I am being creative!!!

O.K it's far too early to say if my creativity will have a wonderful outcome...it could be great or it could be a disaster....let's just say it involves painting a huge piece of driftwood pink, screwing eye hooks in it, felted balls and a boy fiery....the end goal is unclear, no clear vision of the finished product..it could be a bit ...odd. I think it will be great odd instead of bad odd, however it's a bit too early for anyone to be placing bets!!!!!

Nature

Nature is still trying to kill me however she sure is pretty! My Dad and brother in law went for a hike by the sea. Wonderful. Ate Fish n chips.....perhaps the most fantastic thing I have ever tasted! I held a starfish, touched a sea jelly, climbed ginormous rocks, walked through the rain forest, saw a baby dear, drank coffee, and didn't take a single picture...opps!!

nobody has died from allergies......

Nobody has died from allergies is the little song playing in my head. This too will pass...it must, oh my god I just sneezed 5 times in a row...what was I saying? Oh yes, I will overcome the snot....On the frame front, simply a little bump in the road. An important part of life is realizing when one must ask for help....a positive thing! The next 3 days will be filled with family activity. Today a hike in the woods...time for nature and I to come to a loving relationship. Tonight an art opening which I am quite excited about..Saturday is hospital day...not sure what to expect but the whole town comes out to support it...should be fun(ny). And Sunday is Fathers day...pancake breakfast!!!! Monday is craft day. It will be great! Love to everyone (hi "fish") hugs and kisses and smiles..xox
