Life

Life is challenging, perhaps not a surprise to anyone. Just when I think perhaps it will get easier, happier, smoother, life jumps in with her plans. I do find it interesting how resilient I am, life throws curve balls, I crawl into bed for a moment and then continue on, things need to get done, and I do them....funny that! Art show hanging tomorrow, pictures Monday, a good cry on Tuesday, then life will continue. Hopefully happier, smoother, and easier!

I love my craft store people!!!!!

Embroidery thread crisis avoided due to kindness of shop keeper!!!!! I buy my thread and wool from my local craft store...2 of the funniest most sarcastic older gentlemen work and own it, tonight they kept it open (Thair was a paniced phone call placed by me, seconds before close time) I need thread!!!! Made my night boys...thank-you!!!!!! Presently I am at the library with my room-mate.....we are drinking coffee, may be breaking the rules.....and computering!!!!) I have frames, and now embroidery thread...crafting is in my future!!!! xxoxoxoxox

Hi!

I have misplaced my camera, as well as the majority of my pants, deoderent has also gone awall, but thankfully has been replaced! Moving can be done with organization and grace....or not! I am not going to stress about the camera, it will turn up and when it does I promise to take photos.....a million of them! I can't think whair I have stashed all my pants...skirts are kinda fun though..lol!!!!! I have become a part of an instant family, grandpa lives upstairs, mom and Elie, 6 months, me, Simon (the cat), Roxy (the dog) My new home is filled with laughter, love, baby vomit, art, music, hugs and lots of tea!!!!!!!! I am off to craft, drink some tea and get my Elie hug!!!

Moving

I am moving, not far, just up the lane, until I leave for Montreal. In a moment of utter false confidence I felt fully able to do EVERYTHING.....moving..no problem...art show..no problem...waitressing...no problem....cleaning an apartment that I have been living in for four years..no big deal.....good lord!!!!!!!! The huge kicker is my thyroid levels are low (I have a low thyroid and take meds to stay awake..lol! but not really all that funny) My doctor needs more blood work done..oh joy! Not the end of the world but I do feel like I am treading water.......My art is packed so no pics..but I have done some stuff!!! Presently I am waiting for my landlord, and then off to my new abode.....I have dumped everything I own onto my new porch, with warnings to my new roommate (Hi Lindsy!) not to start a fire, cause pretty sure my things are blocking all fire exits...regular exits as well!!! Organizing and then crafting....back here in the morning to do the final clean and move.....goodbye sweet apartment...I will miss you!

wood smells nice!

My apartment smells like wood..perhaps ceader? I am sanding frames (3 of them) prepping them for paint....any wood lover at this moment would swoon...in horror at the thought of painting such lovely wood....... art is ruthless!!!!! I have just compleated a custom order....that's right people, less then a month till my show with not one finished item, I take on a project! It is a bear.....gotta be honest people...the bear...pain in my ass!!! This is the second bear I have made and after the first swore it would be my last....but the first bear sold, and the woman I am making this peice for wanted a bear so very badly I couldn't say no...I mean I could have but I didn't..maybe because I was really excited...that was before I started felting him..lol!!!!! I can't quite be sure that it really looks bear like or just...strange. Morning light will hopefully provide the answer! I am going to put a first coat of paint on the frames and then crawl into bed. Maybe pictures tomorrow.
