Happy Halloween!!!!! I am still in Queen Charlotte City, population 1000, I have just gotten back from a party at the legion.... hilarious mayhem, kids...soooooo many kids in costume, jacked up on candy and excitement hitting huge pinyatas. Children ages 3 and up swinging a huge stick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I havent laughed that hard in a while!! My sister and I are going to hang out waiting for the kids to arrive (we need to contribute to the towns sugar high!!!) In the meantime I am felting away...I brought limited wool colours and my owls are starting to look the same. When I get home I may add some more detail with different wool. I am off to raid the candy bowl!!!!

Hi everyone! I made it!!!!!! I navigated through the bus, subway, and airport....several missed stops (I am convinced because of lack of sleep, not due to lack of direction ability!) and 1 billion dollars in coffee...I am on vacation! I have made 6 owls, although I forgot the pin backs on my craft table..opps!!! My sister, like my mom and I is a collector of things. Yesterday she pulled out buttons...hundreds of them!!! Isadore, age 1.5 years was quite over the moon when he discovered them. It then became the best day of his life when he realized he was whole heartily encouraged to dump them all over the floor....sooooo much fun!!!!!!! I am quite excited to use buttons in frames upon my return. Hugs laughter and toddler drool!!!!!!!!

O.K. who am I kidding....I am running around trying to pack up for my trip and I thought I would have time to be wonderfully creative and productive????????!!!!!!!!!! Here are some pictures in progress....I have eliminated almost all of my cloths in order to make room for my felting gear.......I will be playing dressup in my sisters closet! I intend to do some blogging while on the coast.....I hav''nt been on a vacation in forever!!!!! Hugs and laughter!

Happy Saturday! I have not blogged because not a whole lot of craftiness is going on! I have been busy...work, a little social fun, some housework (sometimes I do clean!) I am leaving Nelson tomorrow to visit my sister and her family (Hi jody!) I am taking the overnight bus to Vancouver, arrive at 5a.m., catch the plane at 12ish (need to see exactly what time I leave!) arriving in the Queen Charlot Islands without sleep....who needs sleep anyways!!!!!! My sense of direction is horrific, coupled with my small town street smarts, everyone (including me) is waiting with held breath until I arrive. I will keep you all posted! I tried cooking last night and almost severed my finger (not kidding........3 bloody bandages later it is quite clear why I don't cook !!!!!) I am still hopeful to have the big frame done before I leave......if it happens pictures will be posted! The Christmas craft fair is almost here........that's right people.....I will be felting on my vacation! Coffee in the A.M. with Faya!!!!!!! Mark and her will be gone by the time I return...look out Montreal, An amazing actor and the most creative clothing designer are headed your way!!!! Hello people in computer world! I am about to stop crafting for this eavning, I have been working on the big frame and 2 smaller ones....flipping back and forth between all three has made for good starts but no finishes! I have to spend some time cleaning my home, I am hosting girls night this Friday.......nobody needs to witness the disaster of my space!!!!! One more day of work......xoxoxoxoxox

I am in Frame land! My finger tips are covered with lavender paint, and I am being quite dare devilish as I am wearing a cream dress....no paint spillage yet!!!!!! I am working on the big frame, I am aiming for this weekend as completion deadline...we shall see!

First of all yesterday was not the 16th but the 17th...Which makes this the 18th..not the 17th..you got all that!!!! October is flying by!!!! It is pouring rain, I can here almost a roar as it rolls off the roof....Roxy is looking out the window, and Simon.....poor little guy is out in this mess, I'm sure he has found a dry spot and will come racing home as soon as it lets up. I went apple picking (watching Brenton and Amos pick apples..lol) today after work....super fun....my apple picking buddy's are also the cooking type..I am expecting phone calls all this week to indulge in wonderful sweet apple treats! Although I was in a grump all this weekend I did get some felting done.....pictures added to the all done and ready to sell wall. At the moment I am working on a really big peice...I am keeping it really simple, time crunch and all is no time to expairiment....after x-mas! 5;30.......... time to start thinking about dinner, may have to dig out my rubber boots and splash on down to the food store!

To get myself over the grump hump I gave felting a break and painted...quickly, with more care to get out my inner bla, then worrying about the finished product. I miss painting. I have included pictures (try not to look at her nose...remember done quickly!) Roxy and I are off to grab some lunch..and coffee...12;39 and I havent had any today...no wonder I'm grumpy!!!!

I have just spent an hour and a half on a disaster! A felted girl gone terribly wrong....she is beyond repair.....I am feeling kind of sad, low energy...bla!!!!!! I am taking a moment to feel sorry for myself and then will jump back into the felting game.
p.s. I miss my studio...and Fraya....and the studio coffee pot!

I set my crafting goals for last night..AND...accomplished them! Right now I am felting a little girl, who will have really bright red (orange) hair...could be really great or Ragady Anne gone wrong! I am done my waitressing work week...2 days of art before retuning to serving world!!!!! Ohhhhh, I found one of Simon's bells...outside under a bush, it is now round his neck..... again....I'm watching you Simon!!!!!!

I am procrastinating!!!!! I worked today, I had every intension of racing home to do some creating...however it all went very wrong....it started with the thrift store, I did find a lovely red table cloth that I intend to cut up and use for frame backing, I then had coffee...twice. A chat with a friend..quite nice! However by the time I got home I was freezing...sooooooo I had a bath, that included a face mask... Bath's can be quite exhasting....I had a nap, then a little t.v. surfing, then some computer surfing....... not a whole lot of crafting!!! It is now 7;48p.m........!!!!!!!!!!!!! O.k. I need to paint 2 frames...or at least start. mmmmmmmmm, lets say 2 owls....then I can crawl into bed...without crafting guilt!!!!! Here I go...watch out......I'm moving fast...crafting here I come....right now...after I pour myself some water...lol! Oh dear!!!!

Guess where I am???? Perhaps in a cold ally "borrowing" internet at a late hour....at a friends house invading there privacy..maybe the internet cafe, spending a million toonies????? A great big fat no to all of the above! I am happily sitting in my warm apartment sipping a fruit juice, listening to music and blogging...from my very own internet connection!!!!!! Here are some pictures..finally!!!! I am going to put on some thermal undies (really cold here in the mountains!!) Then Rox and I are going for a walk.

Oct 8th

I have a computer update.....the motom (apparently a key thing in the internet process) is (fingers crossed) arriving on Tuesday!!!! I am at the internet cafe..I was walking by and decided to pop in..coffee and blogging..oh my! I did zero creative anything last night. However today is a new day! I havent been home since work, I got off at 2pm, I have bought some wool..and am off to the paint store before going home. My friend C.Q. swung by my house yesterday and dropped off some wonderful wood for me to paint on. I havent done any painting (other then frames) in FOREVER..time to mix it up a bit! Dont expect any finished paintings any time soon as I am possible the slowest painter in the world! I am not going to stress about blogging untill Tuesday..maybe I will update befor then, maybe not....definatly on Tuesday...hopefully from my house!!!!!!

Day 13 and 14

I am back!!!!!! I have almost sorted through the internet thing and soon their will be no excuse not to blog EVERY day! I have a rash on my arms...I think my wool sweater has lice....lol, or not..hopefully not! I am back in the internet cafe, sipping coffee and watching the people go by! I made one more peice last night, a little long frame with 4 little owls stacked on top of each other..I like it, quite sweet! Today after work I made 2 owl pins, they just need thair pin backs attached and then will be done. I then went to the studio (end of the month and then no more) I did a bit of sorting...quite sad and empty up thair, I have almost compleatly moved out and Fraya is getting herself organized for Montreal...end of an eara...begining of something new, and ..fantastic!!! ohhhhhhh, I know what I wanted to write....I love, LOVE my cords....not preppy at all! Simon came home without his bell...again!!!!!! The birds seem to be keeping thair distance and as of yet no deaths to report...thank goodness! I am popping in to say Hi to Jenni, she leaves on Thursday to attend a wedding and barn dance (if you knew Jenni...kinda funny...what does one wear to a barn dance? I offered her the use of my overalls...she declined!) Just think of all the pictures I will have to share with you once I have consistant internet access!!!!!! Cant wait!!!

Day 12

I am back in the ally.....phone call to hook up internet in the am, as this is soooooo silly and cold!!!!! I finished 5 pictures today....no pics because I forgot to bring the all so important cord to release my photos from the camera..opps! My hands are sore from felting and I feel tiered and unsure of the wonderfullness of the art that I did today...tomorrow I will be in a better space to judge. I did start felting a bunny, I need to build a frame for it....all the frames I have right now are too small. I think this brings my total of finished things to 24...or 23. I am going to have a glass of wine with my friend Jenni, and then off to bed as my waitressing work week starts early in the a.m.

Night of Day 11

Hi everyone!!! After a wretched start to my day...the rest ...fantastic!!!!!!! The elephant is done and hanging on the ready to sell wall, my heating is up and running and the icebox that was my home is now like a tropical island. I had the most wonderful visit with Fraya....She looked at my all done wall and gave me the positive energy and love that all artists need...thank-you!!! my landlady stopped by with the most yummy apples in the world..Rox and I had an apple feast!!!! I also got asked to make 4 ferries (boy ferries) the deadline is x-mas. yay..good day!!!!! I am back in the ally (borrowing) internet...monday I will call for my very own hook-up. I am going to hit up the food store (apples really arnt a sufficient supper) and then off for some crafting!

Day 10 and morning of Day 11

The pat on the back I gave myself for blogging everyday needs to be taken away.....missed day 10..oh dear! I did craft yesterday, the elephant is done!!!!!!!! I painted 6 frames and are ready to back with fabric! I got called into work this morning...the new girl was over an hour late for work....I am annoyed.....showing up for work on time is basic, really basic. I am going to get coffee, then back into my little icebox (my apartment) to make stuff!!!!!! my day 11 blog will be up tonight!

Day 9

I am freezing!!!!!! I am bundled up as if ready to brave a winter storm. I am at a friends house, he is cooking us dinner, and I am blogging! The elephant is almost done!!!! He has moved into the cute phase although I need to find the perfect eyes.....the wrong eyes could move him back into the uncute category. I sanded 7 frames yesterday, and have started the panting process. One more day of waiting tables and then I turn into a full time artist (for 2 days!!!) I bought some more water color crayons and am kind of excited to use them.....it will have to wait untill tomorrow, as there is food to eat and a fire that I think I need to put my frozen feet in front of!!!! Good night!
